Trust the destiny that knows your name

“Trust” by Tamara Magnitsky

Welcome to Trust Week! Tamara kicks things off with a tentative tale from her own home… her daughter not quite sure she wants to brave the big waves, trusts her father enough to go forward. How often have you also needed that gentle prodding from someone else to trust your abilities?

January looks those self doubts square in the eye:

Trust it.

                            By January Handl

Trust that pull toward procreation
That lust leaning toward love
Feel the deeply imbedded peace
in letting it all go,
and just allowing the drifting current
to swirl you toward the destiny
that knows your name,
that knows your
small dark fears,
your humongous horrific terrors
that cast shadows on your pathway
until you are paralyzed,
your deep desires and
brilliant- faceted knowings, held at bay
by the pain- avoidance of a body
trying to anchor a spirit
who wants to go wandering the universe.
Lean long into the small
silver threads that weave
your connections to points of
touch- tender spots of
Awake
Alive
Aloud
Being- ness

At your core
You
Know.
Trust it.

“Trust it” there is a “destiny that knows your name.”  This week your Bliss Initiative is to proudly step towards your own destiny. If you need help trusting yourself then ask for help. Let a friend hold your hand as you tiptoe in the direction you are meant to go. In Tamara’s tale, her daughter held daddy’s hand for strength and then found the delight of her own experience.

Yes, trust it. The delight awaits you!

I’m finally trusting – and the hands I’m holding are the many wonderful people I’ve found on this website and a number of others! Without them I wouldn’t have had the courage to take the leap of beginning my blog and without their continued support I may have faltered early on. But I’ve kept going – I’m loving the writing and the growing and the learning that I have wisdom that I didn’t know I had. Thank you guys!

What a lovely post! The poem really illustrates how your daughter trusted to take her father’s hand and just jump right in!

Theresa, thank you so much for your kind words! I am always amazed how January’s poems always so perfectly match Tamara’s photos. Each sends me their contribution and the synchronicity is ALWAYS perfect!!

How sweet was this… from the photos to the poem… This was really inspiring! I trust myself more and more as I grow older, and I find this a blessing now as it was something I didn’t connect with enough during my 20′s say. I like to jump in now! :o )

I’m almost in tears. It is as if she is declaring these words forcefully and loudly enough to pierce through me and into that part that needs to hear it – the part that always waits to be trusted, the part beyond the shoulds and the fears. Thank you, all of you.
