Look at that Raccoon in the picture! A “wild thing” able to Trust enough to nap along side Tamara’s kitties and even able to Trust her as she took the photo. Somehow he/she was able to trust even those who might normally be trouble.
Trust – To expect with confidence. Belief that you can depend on another and allowing yourself to be vulnerable.
What about you? Are you able to be vulnerable? Do you allow your self to depend on another?
January gets to the heart of the matter:
No control, anyway
by January Handl
Lean long into the swirling embrace
Offer up your heart, scarred and weary,
Yet still curious
About the capacities
Of the great mystery
Touch deeply the wounds
Of past adventures in connection
Release your expectations
And worry apart the knot
That keeps you tethered
To the known
Free your present moment
From past guilts’ grip
Or future’s hazy horizon
Allow the spiral of life
To hold you through
The encumbering routines
Of daily details
Toward the vaster
Buoyancy of the sea
In which you ever float
Align with your own best interests…
In the end you have no control, anyway
Yes, in the end we have little control anyway however opening up and allowing for trust will make sweet treasures ever available to us.
Trust the world will support you.
Trust your instincts.
Trust your friends and neighbors.
“Trust each other again and again. When the trust level gets high enough, people transcend apparent limits, discovering new and awesome abilities for which they were previously unaware.” ~David Armistead
That raccoon was able to do it, and found company for his/her nap. What will be yours when you do it?
Tell us in a comment how you will be trusting this week!
