Breathe deep and let go!

“Surrender” by Tamara Magnitsky

I’m always so amused when the Bliss Habit shows up at just the perfect time! Today we have “Surrender Week” and what is it that I need to learn?

Well, you guessed it!

As many of you know I am just off the heels of a family vacation in which I completely unplugged from everything. And unplug I did! So much in fact, I nearly forgot about writing this post all together. Ha! I even sucked January and Tamara into my vortex of forgetfulness because they both needed a nudge too!

I was quickly heading down the all crazed path, with the morning slipping away and no post yet conceived, but SURRENDER was there to catch me.

SURRENDER – to allow something; to give the control or use of (something) to someone else.

Ahhh, I can give up control.

Then just as the message begins to sink in, Tamara arrives with her sage message from fall and January urges me to Let Go.

Let Go

by January Handl

When the shore surrenders to the sea,
it allows the natural give and take of
this existence of constant change,
Even as the ocean remains its vast
Self,
its bits and pieces move,
shift,
grow an die.
In the forest when the
ancients finally fall,
their tree-selves become
the nurturing bodies of
the newest evolving beings.
I am only,
Only,
Only,
required
to accept that
who I am this moment,
with tendrils and roots
back beyond
my own beginning,
to become
the next me
By the possibility
of surrender to the
greater impulse
of the expanding universe.
Why do I sometimes
want to fight
the inevitable?

Yes why do we want to fight the inevitable? Why do we hang on so tight when ease and joy can be found in the letting go?

This week our Bliss Initiative is to surrender. Let us examine the places where we are fighting for control that really isn’t needed. Let us breathe deep and let go!
