How is it that we forget to be hapfull? How can I forget to be the joy that I keep writing about?
The energies have been challenging for me recently. Not terribly challenging and what I experience some might consider normal. My normal is not most people’s.
When I find myself feeling anger bubbling up, it bothers me, especially when there is nothing going on in my life. But the other day I was feeling outrageously angry! If all the windows had been closed in my house I would have had a good scream in order to clear the air!
I asked myself a question. “Is this mine?” Yep-it was. Huh? But then I hear that it is old anger that the energies that are pulsing in to planet earth are releasing. Turns out it was time. And it is known that I don’t do stupid when I am angry, so it was a safe thing to have occurred, for me.
The past week I have been appreciating moments of joy and truth is I have a hard time holding on to the feeling.
I drive a VW Convertible Bug and as I drive, with top down, I love the feeling of the sun and warm breeze on my bare arms and especially my neck! I have been taking deep breaths and focusing on those moments.
I booked a trip to visit a friend in Winnipeg. She is staying in her brother’s million dollar “cottage on the shoreline of Lake Winnipeg. Pretty sweet deal. Just her and next week it will be her and me.
We chatted on the phone last night and made some plans. Casino, music, dancing and walking on the beach and facilitating some healing for each other as we play with the modalities we use. My heart was lifted up in the planning.
A change of scenery is always nice. I know that we will have many joyous moments that week that will fill me up to overflowing and water the seeds of joy that are in me, so that they can grow.
Watering the seeds of joy. Sometimes you have to do that in order to find it more easily. Dear ones if you don’t give yourself the things that light you up you will constantly be behind the eight ball. It is not advantageous for you to be there.
Your lives are far too important to waste on anything less than joy. Yes-you will have moments of despair, anxiety and anger but the trick is to find your way through them quickly and with your spirits intact.
If you look around you at others with their norm, which includes daily anxiety, fear or anger, then those of you that have found a way to be in the world peacefully (mostly) will realize that you are doing more than fine. Your new normal is not the norm and so when you dip your toes into anything less, it feels pretty yucky! Not nice and very changeable. Even if you dive in headfirst you can always haul yourself out of it, towel yourself off, maybe have a nice shower and go on with your day in your new norm.
Just because everyone else is doing it differently, at the moment, doesn’t mean you are out of sync with the universes. They are and soon enough your new normal will be everyone’s new normal and you dear ones will be the leaders-the way showers-the lighthouses that send the signal that there is another way.
So hold on to your joy and nurture it in whatever way grows it. Go ahead and scream for a minute or two and then turn up the music and dance!
