The closest word capturing how I feel right now.
Our third cat in as many months began his transition process yesterday.
Writing is difficult.
Doing much of anything is difficult.
Other than wait and be present for whatever he needs –
stroke his chin, hold his paw, bring water to drink, find new dark sleeping spots, prevent a fall down the stairs.
But I’ve crossed the line into hovering.
He wants to be alone now.
I want to be near him.
This is his moment, not mine.
So I come to write about Naked ~ with a finely tuned mother’s ear in place.
Even apart we are connected, and always will be.
Death is not a time to hide or run away.
A lesson learned long ago carried forward to this day.
I can be here, not a hero.
Soldiering on, juggling everything – everything will wait.
Being with another through this process is an honour.
An opportunity for all else to fall away, leaving souls bared as one.
If only remembered all the time, what a different world we would see.
Our way forward is together.
Of that I have no doubt.
We can bring the naked Truth of birth and death into being with one another in each moment,
or continue to flounder believing we are separate.
See the beauty in these raw moments.
Our coming together in openness is not vulnerability, but the force of Life expressed full out.
Living Bliss is a jump-in-with-both-feet look at where Life bumps into the everyday – whether at work, play or times in between. Bliss knows no separation in the end. From a deeper dive into the ordinary pops forward the extraordinary life we search for – and has been there waiting for us to be.
Blissed by cats, potatoes and clouds, Lorraine is a “left-brained creative big picture idea” type who never stops questioning or connecting the dots to make real what isn’t yet seen. She uses her knack for combining intuitive abilities and logic to help re-ignite what Lights you up inside and make real “there’s something more”. Lorraine’s deepest wish is for you to be full of yourself in everything you do – a life truly lived in bliss.
