Trust the destiny that knows your name

Welcome to Dream week!

Dreams have two worlds. One is associated with sleep. The dreams of sleep are often unconscious. They may amuse, disturb or even inspire but we are almost always a little detached from them. Most of the time the dreams of sleep time are hard to hold on to. If we don’t write them down or speak them right upon waking they can slip away. We will not be concerning ourselves with this type.

The dreams of our waking hours are different. They are constructed carefully. There is something unfolding and hopeful about these dreams. Dreams give us a heading. Certainly life is possible without them, but flourishing demands them.

In the words of the print on my Kitchen wall,

“It’ll cost nothing to dream and everything not to.”

Dreams realized, as in the case of “Tired Mommy” Tamara or even ones yet to unfold, fill our days with purpose and perspective. Dreams light the way.

Trust it.

Trust that pull toward procreation
That lust leaning toward love
Feel the deeply imbedded peace
in letting it all go,
and just allowing the drifting current
to swirl you toward the destiny
that knows your name,
that knows your
small dark fears,
your humongous horrific terrors
that cast shadows on your pathway
until you are paralyzed,
your deep desires and
brilliant- faceted knowings, held at bay
by the pain- avoidance of a body
trying to anchor a spirit
who wants to go wandering the universe.
Lean long into the small
silver threads that weave
your connections to points of
touch- tender spots of
Awake
Alive
Aloud
Being- ness

At your core
You
Know.
Trust it.

Yes, “lean long into the… tender spots of Awake, Alive and Aloud.” Your dreams live here and if you trust it your world will never be the same.

This week’s Bliss Initiative is to dream.  Dreams are realities in waiting. Follow your silver threads of connection and trust the destiny that knows your name.

Do you believe that it’ll cost nothing to dream and everything not to?

If yes, let me know what you do to get yourself closer to your dreams.

If no, I’d love to know why do you think living your dreams doesn’t matter?

  1. What a great message!

I was just doing that kind of dreaming today. I waked outside and looked up to the beautiful display mother nature has given with autumn leaves. I started “dreaming” as one thought lead to another. I was in a peaceful place, so peacefully my thoughts went to gratefulness. I must have thought of 100 things I was grateful for.

I came inside inspired! I like to ponder on being grateful before I start “dreaming” and then followed those “silver threads” and visualized what the next step was business wise. Clarity filled my mind.

    Awesome post…Thank you!

Thank you so much Donna! Gratitude is such a powerful place to start dreaming from. I’m inspired to follow in your footsteps outside…

  2. Hi Kathy,
thank you so much for sharing this post and the very touching poem.
That part of the poem describing the ‘forces’ that stop us from following our dreams resonates with me very deeply.
It has only been recently that I became aware of how much I had trained myself out of not wanting anything, not dreaming.
I like the analogy of leaning into the silver threads to connect with feeling alive and awake.
I do believe that dreams and fulfilling them matters.

I appreciate your post and the way it enforces my awareness!
    Love and Light
