Unfinished Passion Week Business!!

Greetings Bliss Enthusiasts!!

Today’s post is a little bit different from my usual “on topic” dispatch. As a general rule, I don’t like the idea of a “here is why I haven’t been posting” sort of update because I think it is better to just get back to the content but in this case I feel like I need to fill you in. Especially because I’ve decided to change my usual schedule! If you came by expecting the launch of Whimsy week, please do stay tuned!

If you are a regular follower of the blog, you would have noticed that last week Passion week was kicked off (with an inquiry) and then after Chel’s fabulous input on Tuesday, the blog just languished there… so not my intention!! You see, I was away, attending my 30th High School Reunion (a whole host of posts could be written…) and while I knew I would be staying at my mom’s internet challenged home I was convinced that my nifty google net book would get me regular access to some WiFi. As it turned out, I needed to be right on top of a “hot spot” (also known as Dunkin’ Donuts in Gloversville, NY) for the less then stellar WiFi card to work.

My Sweetie did everything he could to boost my reception to no avail and then to compound the difficulty, when I did get over to the D&Ds, my WordPress Admin page wasn’t working. As of this morning, back in my home office, it was still not working! Yikes!! Then thanks to my great Blog Designer (Michael of ProBlog Design — if you need design work I highly recommend!) who I finally resorted to contacting, it was discovered that a plug in I had tried out was the culprit causing the problems.

I really thought I’d be able to do everything I wanted “from the road” but it just wasn’t in the cards this time out!

Anyway, bottom line is I had all this great Passion content ready and waiting in the wings and here it is already supposed to be Whimsy week!! As I type this moving on to Whimsy week seems very imprudent.  I thought about tossing the Passion week stuff up and then getting right down to Whimsy but you can see how misguided that would have been. My passion inquiry still needs resolving (please add your input!) and I would be short changing Whimsy with my divided attention. For this reason, I have decided  to start where I left off and continue Passion Week through this coming Sunday and then start Whimsy week off with my full attention the following week.

This change means changing my entire posting schedule and updating guest bloggers who have already planned for posts on an earlier week but I do think this makes the most sense! Many of you are probably thinking “It is your blog, so do what ever you like!” but I really think of Bliss Habits as OUR BLOG and if you are choosing to play along as I go through each of the habits I feel it is good to keep you fully informed.

As always if you have a different idea or would like to comment on this or anything else, I welcome your feedback!  And with my public service announcement coming to a close… let’s get back to the passion!!

“Every man is proud of what he does well; and no man is proud of what he does not do well. With the former, his heart is in his work; and he will do twice as much of it with less fatigue. The latter performs a little imperfectly, looks at it in disgust, turns from it, and imagines himself exceedingly tired. The little he has done, comes to nothing, for want of finishing.” ~Abraham Lincoln

  1. Kathy, I love how you were able to adapt and feel out what seems right. I know allllll about technical issues (ugh, don’t remind me how I spent over an hour on a recent writer’s retreat trying to get their wifi to work–why didn’t I just adapt and find new ways to work?).

Looking forward to reading all the goodness you had in store for us.

I also wanted to let you know, in case you hadn’t heard yet, that I just released my first eBook: “Today I Will: a joy checklist.” I’m offering it free with mailing list sign-up. It encourages us to shuffle our daily to-do’s to make room for joy. I think you’d enjoy it. No pressure if you aren’t interested! If you are, you can find it at my site, http://PersistentGreen.com

    Sending hugs your way!
